The Currents

At Raw Creative, I designed a lobby ceiling feature for The Currents office building in Denver, consisting of over 90 differently shaped "fins" suspended above the front desk. These fins, ranging from 8 to 24 feet, were made from MDF with a laminate finish and cut into 1 to 3 pieces per fin using CNC. The installation creates a wave-like effect. My role involved site visits, taking measurements, and planning the hanging system to ensure client approval. After approval, I coordinated CNC cutting, fabrication, and installation and actively participated in the fabrication. The client was Swinerton Construction, and the designer was Davis Partnership.
